Welcome to week eleven of Copycat!
If
you're new to this whole thing and not exactly sure what this linkup is
all about, here it is in a nutshell...Take style inspiration from
anything -- Pinterest,
a magazine, an advertisement, your favorite fashion blogger, ANYTHING
-- and transfer that inspiration into your own style using pieces that
you currently own. Simple and fun, right? If you'd like, you can read
more about my original purpose and inspiration, here.

I love that this outfit can easily be taken from season to season..by removing the tights and the boots, this could easily transition into the spring and summer months. I don't own a striped dress but I own a super similar looking skirt (I scored it on sale for $7!) that I knew I could pair with a black tank top, so I decided to go with that.
Here's my take on it...
Mustard yellow cardigan: Target // Black tank top: Target // Black and white striped skirt: Target // Brown boots: Target
It's a little hard to tell in the pictures, but I made a hair change this week and added quite a bit of brown to it with some blonde highlights mixed in (thank you for all of the sweet comments on my Instagram picture!). I'm not naturally blonde so I wanted something that could grow out a little more naturally between colorings but this has been a little bit of a shocker. Still trying to feel comfortable in it, but I'm getting there and thinking I'll probably stick with this color...who knows though, I'm so indecisive with hair color.
Your turn! Can't wait to see what you come up with!
And don't forget we'll be pinning all of your looks on our Copycat Linkup Pinterest board.

I love it! This is adorable!
ReplyDeleteFantastic inspiration look! I can also see this with a striped tank and black skirt, as well.
ReplyDeleteOoo love this look! I used to never wear black and brown together but this adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt and I like the darker hair. I've seen some of your pics from when Gunner was born and really like you with darker hair. If that matters at all WHICH IT SHOULD. Thank you and good evening.
ReplyDeleteOoh! A nice translation of the original! Good job!
ReplyDeleteWow your 'interpretation' of the original is amazing! I never used to like mustard clothing, but wow you pull it off and have definitely turned me from a skeptic and into a fan!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that skirt! :) And your hair is awesome!
ReplyDeleteNatural is always good, God made your skin tone and hair to go together that way, right? Of course, when you start going grey all bets are off.

Alyssa
p.s. sorry I haven't linked in a couple of weeks, not finding any inspiration pics that I can match lately. I'm all set for this week though!
I know I'm a little late but I love that outfit! Yours is equally (if not cuter) than the original! I love stripes so much right now!!
