Welcome to week thirteen of Copycat Linkup! I am so glad to have you joining us today. If you're just reading along, I hope you'll consider linking up with us next week.
If you're new to this whole thing and not exactly sure what this linkup is all about, here it is in a nutshell...Take style inspiration from anything -- Pinterest, a magazine, an advertisement, your favorite fashion blogger, ANYTHING -- and transfer that inspiration into your own style using pieces that you currently own. Simple and fun, right? If you'd like, you can read more about my original purpose and inspiration, here.
I'll be honest, this week I was lacking major inspiration. I've been kind of in a rut with what to wear and I'm ready for that to be over with. I was okay with this week's outfit when I first put it on and took pictures, but looking back at it now, I'm really not a fan. It doesn't help that it was pouring rain outside so we were stuck with the terrible indoor lighting. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. That saying works for fashion situations, right?
Maybe the look works for the model because the sleeves are longer on her dress, or maybe it's just because she has those awesome cheekbones. Honestly, it could be either one. Either way, here's my interpretation...
And before you judge me, those red decorations behind me are not left up from Christmas. They're from Gunner's birthday party. He loves them so I just haven't taken them down yet.
Your turn! Can't wait to see what you come up with!
And don't forget we'll be pinning all of your looks on our Copycat Linkup Pinterest board.
