Scarf & Scripture Swap

When I saw words floating around Twitter about a scarf and scripture swap, I knew I had to participate. Who doesn't love a cute scarf? And I always love hearing other people's favorite scripture, I think it's so interesting to see what strikes people in God's word. I love that about the Word...we can each glean inspiration and hope from completely different things because we are all at different points and places in life.

I was paired up with sweet Kendra from A Proverbs 31 Wife, who I've communicated with on several other occasions, so it was cool to be able to send each other gifts. 

I specifically requested a print scarf because I wear a lot of solids and always love the pop of something fun and graphic. Kendra totally nailed it. The scarf is on the maroon side so it'll be perfect for Aggie game days and it's really long, which I love in scarves.

The piece of scripture that Kendra sent is Proverbs 31:10 & 11 -- "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her."

I love the simplicity of this verse. To me it's a  reminder that in this world full of sin, a woman of high morals and virtue is far more precious. I strive to keep verses like this in mind when it seems like it would be so much easier to live by the worlds standards. I want to be more precious than rubies.
