I hope you're having a great Labor Day! I can remember how much I looked forward to this long weekend last year when I had just finished my first week, of my first year of teaching. It's still been a nice weekend, kind of slow which has been great. I'll be going to the gym in a little bit and I'm gonna pick up breakfast for me and Code on the way home, and later we have plans to cook out with Cody's side of the family.
Just a quick update on us over here. If you follow me on Twitter, you probably already know that Gunner is officially teething. He's cutting his two bottom teeth, one has finally poked through and the other is so close. Honestly, I think teething has been the hardest thing thus far for me. It's tough when you finally get used to getting some solid sleep and then the baby starts getting up at all hours again. Plus, the getting up is now because of pain and it's the worst knowing you can't do much to help. Gunner has been very clingy and avoiding naps like they're the plague, but I do enjoy some of the extra cuddles I've been getting. Sunday was a really good day, so hopefully we're through the worst of this first teething round (knock on wood). I'm considering buying an amber necklace for teething pain because I've heard people swear by them. Do any of you use them or have you used them in the past? If you have, I'd love for you to leave me a link in the comments or email me and let me know where you purchased yours.
Gunner also pulled himself up on the couch and stood on his own yesterday. I don't know what's up with this kid but he is doing things so, so early. Just last week he started crawling and now this, it's kind of crazy. I guess I really do need to get a move on with baby proofing. The picture below is how I turned around and found him...one minute he was crawling behind me, and the next minute he was standing.
That's
really all that's going on with us, but in my small little world, it
seems like a lot. I have some posts that I really hope to get written
this week...a lot of what God is showing me and teaching me
lately...thing I want to share and things I'm sometimes embarrassed to
admit I struggle with. But that's part of the process, right? Learning,
growing, and sharing with each other..I love that I can do that on my
blog.
I'll leave you with a cute video of Gunner crawling. Cody took this one morning while I was showering. Gunner tends to get a little camera shy when he knows you're filming him, but here's a little glimpse of his new moves.
I hope you have a fantastic Labor Day holidays with your friends, family, and loved ones!

So cute! I miss all those firsts! :S
ReplyDeleteHave you tried "camilia" for the teething? Not sure if it's available in the US, but it was a blessing for us when our kids were teething! Best part it is completely natural!
