I hope you all are enjoying your 4th of July holiday! We spent this past weekend celebrating the fourth a little early with my parents at their lake house. And today, Cody, G, and I will be enjoying a BBQ with Cody's cousin and her husband. We'll be grilling burgers and corn and munching on chips and dip (my favorites for the July 4th holiday!).
And because of those wonderful things, I also can't help but think of those continuing to fight for our freedom and independence. I am so thankful for the men and women who continue to protect MY freedom. It's crazy to think that these people do not know me, yet, they sacrifice their life for me, my son, and everyone I know. And today, if I could say anything to those men and women, I think I'd just say...thank you, thank you, thank you. Because continual thanks is what they deserve.
I also wanted to give a few fellow bloggers the opportunity to share their favorite things about this holiday...so, welcome Mar from Raising Bean and Amanda from Tales From Far!
What's your favorite thing to do on the fourth?
My favorite way to
celebrate is to watch the fireworks with my family, especially my
husband because he's prior Army Infantry. Since he's now a cop, he works
on the fourth. Usually at the big fireworks celebration! So I head over
there with friends and family to enjoy the live music, a picnic, and
all the other things the celebration has to offer. Then my hubs gets to
stand next to us while we watch the fireworks together. I'm really
excited to share this year with my daughter!
What's your favorite thing to eat on the fourth?
Fried Chicken! Ever
since I was a little girl my family has had a picnic before watching the
fireworks, and we almost always eat fried chicken! Mmmmm, so greasy and
delicious.
If you could send any message to our troops, what would you say?
I cant begin to imagine
how much it must suck to be away from your friends and family, who are
celebrating this holiday together. But we all appreciate everything
you've done, are doing, and will do for the freedom of our country. Hang
in there, and thank you!
What's your favorite thing to do on the fourth?

What's your favorite thing to eat on the fourth?

If you could send any message to our troops, what would you say?
Thank you for sacrificing your freedom so my family can live safely. Y'all are in our prayers!

Have a wonderful holiday, y'all.
Eat some good food, spend time with family and friends, and don't forget to say some thanks!

I pray that exact prayer every single night "thank you for the roof over my head, the clothes on my back, and the food I have to eat"... Happy 4th!
