For me, blogging began as a way to document my first pregnancy. However, it quickly became something bigger than a hobby. It became a way for me to be creative, a way for me to connect to other like minded people. It became something that I really love and want to take seriously. But, I've had a hard time keeping organized. I always have thousands of post ideas running through my head, ten different to-do lists, and I can never keep track of it all. I quickly began to realize that I needed a way to keep organized but I didn't know how.
A few weeks ago I wondered across the blog Becoming Fabulous. I noticed in Tranae's projects section that she had created her own blog planner. Tranae had previously done a giveaway for a planner, but I'd missed the date and I badly wanted my own. There was no PDF version of the planner she had created but she had uploaded some examples of what her pages looked like. I liked what was there, but I knew I'd want to tweak it some. So, I made a note (on one of my ten different to-do lists) to create my own version.
Last week, I finally get down to work on my planner and I am so in love with it. I created the entire thing on Microsoft Word. I used a lot of the same ideas that I originally saw but tweaked things to fit me a little better. Once the pages were all printed, I took them to Staples where it cost $5 to bind them all together.
Here's the final copy...
I put my header on the cover of the planner.
The first few pages of the planner are where I can keep important information...blog anniversary, domain name, renewal date, passwords, etc. I also put an area where I can keep three main goals. I also included a contact page of other bloggers that I like to keep in contact with.
I then put in a section for monthly planning. The monthly planning pages have a space to list the different linky parties in which I like to participate, a space where I can keep track of my montly income via the blog and my monthly expenses (sponsoring other blogs, blog design, etc), and a place where I can keep track of those who sponsored me that month.
And lastly, I put in a section for weekly planning. The weekly planning pages have four spaces to plan posts (perfect for writing down my random ideas), a space to keep track of blog stats, a to-do list area, and a small space for notes.
I mentioned my little creation a few times on Twitter and Instagram and received a lot of interest, so I decided to do a giveaway of one. This is my first giveaway, so I'm very excited! The blog planner will be the same as mine, except for your header will be on the front cover. I will have it bound and mailed to the winner.
I think this planner is priceless for many bloggers and I hope that many of you will agree. See details for the giveaway below, and start spreading the word! Giveaway will end on the 28th.

This organizer is incredible! For almost a year now, I've been using an Excel spreadsheet and/or my usual calendar book to organize and plan future blog posts. I did really good for a while and then it fell by the waist-side. The weekly planner and to-do list are my favorites, those would be very helpful.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway, hope I win!
